Shobha Singh
DirectorShobha Singh brings to the Board something no qualification confers: the experience of having actually built a business from nothing.
She is a Director of Avlokya India Private Limited, a company she led from zero to a turnover of ₹20 crore. That journey, from first invoice to twenty crore, is an education in the things that decide whether a venture survives: cash-flow discipline, hiring the right people before you can comfortably afford them, holding margins when it would be easier to chase volume, and building an organisation that keeps working when the founder is not in the room. She has run operations, managed teams, negotiated with vendors and institutional buyers, and carried the responsibility of a payroll through good quarters and difficult ones.
Out of that she has developed wide experience in industry management and corporate structure, how a company should be organised as it scales, where authority should sit, what governance a growing business needs before it needs it, and how to build systems that hold up under growth rather than break under it. For a young company moving quickly, that kind of institutional memory is difficult to hire and impossible to shortcut.
She is also the mother of CA Amit Singh and Geetanjali Singh, and Make My Education is, in the most literal sense, a family building something together. On the Board she contributes long-term thinking, operational judgement and structural discipline, holding the company to the standard she has applied to her own: that a business worth starting is a business worth building properly.
