Why prepare with us

A counsellor who has seen the whole application

Test prep here is not sold separately from admission. The person setting your target band also knows what your shortlist actually asks for — so you are not chasing a 7.5 for a university that wanted 6.5.

  • Diagnostic before you pay

A full mock and a written read of where the marks are going.

  • Batches capped at 12

Speaking practice does not work in a room of forty.

  • Your target, not a generic one

Set against the requirement of the courses on your list.

  • Every essay marked by a person

With the band descriptor it was marked against.

Questions

Before you book a test date

It depends on where you are applying and what that country's visa route accepts, not on which test is easiest. Most UK, Australian and Canadian universities take IELTS or PTE; US universities usually prefer TOEFL. Graduate programmes add GRE or GMAT on top of the English test. A counsellor can tell you which combination your shortlist actually requires.

Four to eight weeks of consistent work is typical if your English is already at intermediate level. Less than that is usually enough only to learn the format, not to move a band. If you are starting further back, plan for a term rather than a month.

PTE is fastest — usually within 48 hours. IELTS computer-delivered results come in three to five days, paper-based in about 13. TOEFL is around a week. GRE and GMAT give you an unofficial score at the centre and the official report in one to three weeks.

Yes, and there is no limit on IELTS, TOEFL or PTE attempts. GMAT allows five in a rolling twelve months and eight in a lifetime; GRE allows five in a rolling twelve months, with 21 days between attempts. A retake only helps if something in the preparation changes.

No, and nobody honestly can — the score is yours, not the coaching's. What we do is tell you at the start what your current level is, what target is realistic in the time you have, and whether your test date should move.

Not sure which test your shortlist needs?

That is the first thing a counsellor will tell you, and it takes one conversation. No charge, and no obligation to enrol in anything.
