If you are choosing in Delhi NCR, start with the exam, not the college name. For DU, JNU, Jamia and most other central universities, CUET (UG) is the main gate. For IIT Delhi, you need JEE Main / Advanced. For AIIMS Delhi and other medical colleges, you need NEET UG.
That matters because the wrong exam means the wrong list of options. A student who wants arts, commerce or science will usually get far more mileage from CUET than from chasing one famous college with the wrong stream. Delhi NCR also gives you the widest course choice in one place, because Delhi University alone runs dozens of affiliated colleges, so you can compare many college-and-course combinations instead of treating one campus name as the only prize.
The state guide puts it plainly: CUET now covers admission to DU, JNU, Jamia and most other central universities, so one exam attempt genuinely widens rather than narrows your options. If you want the full Delhi NCR breakdown, see our state guide.
